Silk Road Caravan by Stephen Nilsen/Fragrance Pencil

This handy .14 oz parfum crayon is a must especially for people on the go.  This is one of 6 scents that are all inspired by teas from across the globe.  These are exclusive to Anthropologie stores and are created by the fragrance house,  Givaudan in Switzerland.
I was drawn to this scent because of it's apricot/vanilla notes along side peony and white tea.  (I also adore the Vanille/Abricot Comptoir Sud Pacific Parfum Spray from France)  This pencil glides over the pressure points and is ever so subtle in it's flavors.  Just a few short glides is all you need.
There's a soft, silk-like string that you pull to get more more product at the tip.  Truly glamorous and makes a terrific gift at only $10.00!  It doesn't take up any space and really smells elegant not cheap.  I'm super impressed-can you tell?  Enjoy.

Revercel Perfect Glycolic Cleanser

I realize that I just blogged last week about a cleanser but I need to talk about this one too!  I use this cleanser about 3 times a week at night.  It's a perfect cleanser to use on the nights that you're using your Retin-A because it allows the Retin-A to penetrate deeper.
I use about a dime size and work it into my face, neck and chest.  I use a soft baby washcloth to remove gently, rinsing the cloth with tepid water.
My skin feels tingly but it means it's getting deeper into the epidermis to loosen up the dead protein cells(dead skin) and bacteria.  It promotes cell turnover so the skin takes on a fresh, firm texture.  I don't recommend using it every day.
Glycolic acid is derived from sugar cane and has an anti-bacterial effect on the skin.  For myself and many clients it's a perfect go-to for managing both breakouts and aging skin.
This cleanser is non-foaming and fragrance-free.  For sensitive/rosacea skin use once or twice a week only.  If you're new to glycolics, understand that this ingredient helps to draw out toxins in the skin.  Mild breakouts can happen when first introducing into the skin.  NO PICKING ALLOWED.  :)

Eminence Organics Coconut Milk Cleanser

This ultra-rich milky cleanser is amazing for maturing skin.  With healing, calming and anti-bacterial qualities it's a must for the aging and break-out prone skin.
I use a half pump for my entire face, neck and chest.  I moisturize it into those areas then grab a damp, tepid baby washcloth.  I swipe over all of the areas and follow with the rest of my routine.  You don't even need to use water to remove this.
The smell is subtle and sensational.
If you're super dry or sun exposed this is great to use.  It leaves the skin feeling nourished and loved.  I like to describe this cleanser as a kicked up version of a creamy Cetaphil or Cera Ve cleanser!  It doesn't strip away the natural lipids but deeper cleans and keeps the bacteria at bay.
Just try not to drink it because it smells like a Pina Colada!  :)

Revlon Beyond Natural Cream Lipgloss in Pink/Rose

This tube of lip cream is great for just a hint of color and shine.  There are no sparkles or "plumper" in this but it just feels great going on and is a quick fix.  No need to look in a mirror to apply.  I love throwing this on as a last minute pick me up for my face.  Like when I'm rushing to get to work and have very minimal makeup on, this really draws attention to the lips so they look like I have spent some time on my makeup.  It's my SYKE product!
With an angled tip it makes for an easy application and smells like butterscotch.  I'm pleasantly surprised at how long the product stays on too.
The only thing missing is a sunscreen.  It'd be wonderful to come out with the same thing only with an added SPF.  hint hint (like anyone from Revlon is reading :) )

MAC 136 brush

This soft brush is what I use to apply a top layer of my pressed minerals.
The dome shaped layered bristles are so light, they don't allow the brush to grab too much product.  It then goes on very sheer and even and minimal.  If I need more coverage I just re-apply another layer.  It's important to have an effective powder brush to also ensure that you don't waste too much product.
The brush is made in France with synthetic bristles.  Fragrance free and easy to clean with a face cleanser and tepid water.  Lay it on a clean hand towel to dry or bristle side up in a cup.  Depending on how often you use it, clean it about every 2-6 weeks.  If your skin is more acne prone, clean every week or two.
Another clue that it's time to clean your brushes is when they get the little balls of powder and who knows what on the tips of the bristles.  Ewww.
You can contour the face with a darker blush and also blush the face with this same brush.
I've had my brush for 10 years now and it still looks brand new.  There's no chips in the wood handle or loss of bristles.  Impressive.  It's definitely the most bang for your buck.  Around $50.

Eminence Organics Blueberry Body Shimmer

A moisturizing and smoothing hydrator for all skin conditions.
This is full of natural ingredients such as blueberry juice, vegetable glycerin, shea butter corn germ oil to name the a few.  It goes on so smooth and leaves a hint of shimmer.
I use this when I'm going out at night and want a little sparkle on my chest and shoulders.  Also looks sexy on the legs and hides the ghostly look without overdoing it.
It smells terrific and really does soften the skin while glamorizing too.  Beat that!  Because of the fruit acids, this gives a firming sensation as well.
Try not to use if you've got razor burn or any cuts as it will sting because of the acids.  It's not harmful but just tingly.
For a fresh, smooth, sparkly look and clean smell, massage this on the body parts (except the eye area) and off you go.
I have not used this on my face yet but it would make a great cheek highlighter to add freshness there too!
I say why not?

Target Up and Up hair detangling spray in Wrangle Tangle

This is my daughters' detangler but I LOVE it for my hair.
At an easy $2.49 for a generous 13 oz spray, this stuff rocks in the scent department.  I swear it smells just like the cereal Trix!  It's hypoallergenic and tear-free and can be used on wet or dry hair.
After I started using it on my kids' hair, I just had to give it a try.
I use it on my dry hair on the mornings that I don't wash it.  I give my hair/scalp a couple of sprays and either comb it out or put it up into a messy bun.  It smells fresh and clean and softens also.
I can't say enough about the scent.  It's truly what reeled me in.  And what a bargain!  Sucker.  :)
